Castle Rock Neurosurgeons Are Experts in Minimally Invasive Spine Care
Neurosurgery One’s Castle Rock neurosurgeon and advanced practice provider are experts in many types of brain and spine disorders, particularly chronic low back pain, degenerative spinal disorders, compression fractures, carpal tunnel syndrome, and ulnar nerve compression. If you’re in need of an experienced Castle Rock neurosurgeon who will treat your condition in the least invasive way possible, look no further than Neurosurgery One.
Castle Rock neurosurgeons Lloyd Mobley III, MD, Beth Gibbons, MD, and advanced practice provider Erin Chojnacki, PA-C, take the time to meet with patients and listen to their concerns. At Neurosurgery One Castle Rock, you can expect to receive a complete evaluation that includes a physical exam and discussion about your symptoms and medical history. We’ll also ask about your lifestyle, limitations, and goals for treatment so we can come up with a treatment plan that’s ideally suited to your needs.
At Neurosurgery One Castle Rock, we believe in the importance of matching patients to the treatment that will best address their condition with the least possible disruption to their lives. Oftentimes that means prescribing medication or referring patients for physical therapy or injection therapy. Other times that means recommending surgery.
Even when surgery is necessary to achieve a patient’s desired results, we’ll take care to offer you minimally invasive options when possible. In fact, Dr. Mobley uses the least invasive ways to treat back and neck pain, an approach that led him to become specialty trained in Intracept and ReActiv8, two innovative therapies for lower back pain that you won’t have access to with all Castle Rock neurosurgeons. Furthermore, Dr. Gibbons has made minimally invasive spine surgeries a key part of her practice, and is particularly skilled in using advanced minimally invasive techniques that minimize recovery time and improve outcomes. When you come to Neurosurgery One Castle Rock, you can feel assured you’ll receive the best possible care for your brain or spine condition.
Castle Rock Neurosurgeon Provides Specialty Spine Care
Dr. Mobley and Dr. Gibbons are experienced Castle Rock neurosurgeons who treat many types of spine and neurological disorders, including:
- Arteriovenous malformations
- Back and neck pain
- Brain tumors
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Compression fractures
- Headaches and migraines
- Injury and trauma
- Spine tumors
- Stroke
Our Castle Rock team offers several treatment options right here in south Denver, including:
- Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion
- Artificial disc replacement
- General neurosurgery
- Kyphoplasty
- Lumbar fusion
- Medication therapy
- Minimally invasive spine surgery
- Nerve ablation
- Nerve stimulation
- Partial inferior facetectomy and total facetectomy
Neurosurgery One Castle Rock offers the following specialty services for the treatment of lower back pain you won’t find from other Castle Rock spine surgeons:
- Intracept basivertebral nerve ablation. During this minimally invasive procedure, the surgeon uses radiofrequency energy to ablate, or destroy, the basivertebral nerve. This nerve is the source of the pain in vertebral endplate nerve dysfunction, a type of low back pain that tends to be resistant to medication, physical therapy and other conservative therapies. Ablating the nerve keeps it from being able to transmit pain signals to the brain, offering relief.
- Multifidus-neurostimulation. Patients with lower back pain caused by a weak lumbar multifidus muscle may be candidates for rehabilitative neurostimulation with ReActiv8. The therapy involves placing a small neurotransmitter under the skin via a minimally invasive procedure and connecting it to the nerves that control the multifidus. Over time, the stimulation strengthens the muscle so it can resume supporting the lower spine, leading to reduced pain.

Castle Rock Neurosurgeons Offer Expedited Care
At Neurosurgery One Castle Rock, we understand you want to be seen as soon as possible for your brain and spine care. That’s why Castle Rock neurosurgeons Dr. Mobley and Dr. Gibbons work closely with PA Erin Chojnacki to ensure your care is expedited.
Patients with non-life-threatening conditions, including many types of neck and back pain, will be seen initially in clinic by our advanced practice provider, who can evaluate your condition and order all necessary lab tests and diagnostic imaging. Our team will also make referrals for physical therapy or interventional pain management when appropriate. Scheduling with our advanced practice provider ensures you receive the care you need sooner and is also required by some insurance plans. Of course, patients who have more complex conditions and anyone with a potentially life-limiting or disabling condition, such as a suspected brain or spine tumor, will be scheduled with Dr. Mobley or Dr. Gibbons, often the same day.
