Denver Neurosurgeons Specialize In Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, Brain Cancer
Neurosurgery One is pleased to offer convenient access to our Denver spine surgeon and Denver neurosurgeon teams at our new location near Porter Hospital. Our Central Denver office is located at 850 E Harvard Ave, Suite 125, Denver, CO 80210. Our board certified spine surgeon and neurosurgeon Joshua Beckman, MD, FAANS, and Zain Allison, MD, a top neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, neurotrauma, and neuro-oncology, and their teams serve patients at this Central Denver location.
Whether you have been struggling with back pain for years or are newly-diagnosed with brain cancer, our neurosurgery teams offer comprehensive patient care. Our entire staff, from our office support to our advanced practice providers (APPs), and from our scheduling team to our neurosurgeons strive to make every step of your patient journey as easy as possible. When it comes to your health, you deserve to know all of your treatment options, which is why we take time and care to thoroughly diagnose your spine condition or cranial issue. We then educate you and your family about your treatment options. We used an evidence-based approach and always recommend the most conservative and least invasive treatments whenever possible.
Our team of neurosurgeons, spine surgeons, and advanced practice providers (APPs) specialize in a variety of minimally invasive spine surgeries and surgical procedures for brain conditions, including:
- Back and Neck Pain: Back or neck pain is one of the most common conditions adults of all ages and backgrounds will face. Our spine surgeons and back pain experts start by properly diagnosing the source of your pain. Whenever possible, we recommend conservative treatment for back and neck pain. Spine surgery is only recommended when absolutely necessary.
- Failed Back Surgery Syndrome: Also known as post-laminectomy syndrome, up to 40% of patients with new or similar back pain after spinal surgery are diagnosed with failed back surgery syndrome. Our team of Denver spine surgeons work with you to properly diagnose your pain and determine a treatment path that can help you achieve your goals. Neurosurgery One also provides second opinions to patients with any type of spine or back pain condition.
- Complex spine surgery: Some patients need more complex spinal surgeries due to degenerative disc disease, spinal trauma, or other painful spinal conditions. Our Denver spine surgeons are experienced in a variety of complex spine procedures including spinal fusions and ACDF surgery. Learn about how our neurosurgeons collaborate on complex spinal surgeries to provide the best patient outcomes.
- Brain cancer: More than 200,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with a primary brain cancer tumor (cancer originating in the brain) or metastatic brain tumors (cancer that originates in another part of the body and spreads to the brain). Working with a Denver neurosurgeon you can trust can make a difference in your outlook and outcomes. Dr. Allison has personal experience with brain surgery, having undergone a craniotomy as a teenager. This experience, coupled with his robust training as a neurosurgeon, helps him connect with patients and their families on a different level.
- Traumatic spine injuries: Our Denver neurosurgeons have extensive experience in treating traumatic spinal injuries. Prior to joining Neurosurgery One, Dr. Beckman was the director of spine surgery at the nation’s largest military hospital and Level I trauma center– San Antonio Military Medical Center. He specialized in treating severe spinal and head injuries. Dr. Allison completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in the Texas Medical Center. During that time, he treated patients at Level 1 Trauma Center as well as five hospitals. He is currently the Neurotrauma Director at St. Anthony Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center.
Services Provided by Our Denver Neurosurgeons and Spine Surgeons
Denver neurosurgeon and spine surgeon Dr. Beckman is fellowship-trained and highly skilled at a variety of spine, back, and brain surgery procedures, including minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal deformity surgery. Dr. Allison is a Denver neurosurgeon and spine surgeon who specializes in cranial and spinal neurosurgery, neurotrauma, neuro-oncology, open neurovascular surgery, and minimally invasive and traditional spine surgeries.
- Minimally invasive spine surgery: If spine surgery is recommended, many patients benefit from minimally invasive spine surgery. Backed by research, minimally invasive spine surgery reduces blood loss, lowers the rate of infections, and often leads to quick recovery times for patients. All of Neurosurgery One’s spine surgeons have extensive experience in minimally invasive spine surgery. Minimally invasive spine surgery may benefit patients who suffer from spinal stenosis, lower back pain, neck pain, pinched nerve, or other spine conditions that are not responsive to conservative treatment.
- Complex spine surgery: Some patients need more complex spinal surgeries due to degenerative disc disease, spinal trauma, or other painful spinal conditions. Our Denver spine surgeons are experienced in a variety of complex spine procedures including spinal fusions and ACDF surgery. Learn about how our Denver neurosurgeons Dr. Beckman and Dr. Allison collaborated on a complex spinal surgery to provide the best patient outcomes.
- Brain surgery: Brain surgery for tumors, brain metastases, and other brain conditions can be scary for anyone. Our leading team of brain cancer surgeons offer compassionate care coupled with exceptional surgical outcomes. We work closely with your oncology team to ensure you receive consistency in care and have the best treatment plan.
