Meet Dr. Esther Yoon
Dr. Yoon is a fellowship-trained and board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who specializes in interventional spine and musculoskeletal medicine, and pain management. She treats a wide range of spine and joint disorders, including spinal stenosis, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, nerve damage, and back and neck pain. She has experience in the non-surgical treatment of pain through ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided spine injections and joint injections, nerve blocks, nerve ablations, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, and spinal cord stimulator trials in patients looking to delay or negate the need for surgery. She also performs electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS) for the purpose of diagnosing nerve damage.
Dr. Yoon enjoys working closely with referring physicians to find solutions that will provide patients with long-term pain relief. Her goal is to reduce patients’ reliance on pain medication and, in many cases, avoid the need for surgery. She emphasizes rehabilitation and addressing biomechanics to treat the underlying cause of back and neck pain and uses injection therapy to make that possible.
